The latest in fitness gyms has finally crossed the line between exercise to stay fit and healthy and…well, sex. Sheila Kelley's S Factor, a new gym concept has kicked the sexual heat up a notch.
At The S Factor, with new locations in Manhattan, Los Angeles, Encino, and San Francisco, women work out on the pole, the icon of strip clubs everywhere. Shiela encountered this kicky new twist while preparing for a part in the movie "Dancing at the Blue Iguana."
“My life was changed forever,” she claims in her website blurb (her creation story). “I accidentally discovered my sexual power and a fit body. Now I want to share this extraordinary journey with other women.”
The sexual power of a sleek bod has always been the tacit end product of working out. But Sheila Kelley removes the subtleties of workout voyeurs and gets right to the point.
Her women-only clubs offer straight up strip club attire: ruffle skirts, tank tops, G-strings, even 6-inch platform shoes (yes, to work out in). These icons fulfill the ritual of ganging on the club pole (also available, under $300).
Instructor profiles include carefree shots of sexy women, with rat lines on “preferred song(s) to S with” and “favorite lap dance man”.
Kelley’s approaches strips away (sorry) the artifice of other gyms and workout routines and gets down to what we’re really there for: to look more attractive, feel more confident, and have better luck on the dance floor.
With the bones of the primal code in place, Sheila Kelley's S Factor can be summed up in two words: sex appeal.
