Where should the line be drawn? I agree that there is something to be said for real-time accounts of what is taking place on the ground, etc. and that it isn't 'censored' (as your posting suggests) by the Defense Department, et al. That said, how can blogging ever truly rise above the reality that it is not much more than the stand-alone opinion of one person? Blogging can't ever be considered a true source of 'news' when the person responsible for the content answers to no one but themselves and isn't obligated to do any real due-diligence or fact checking. Blogging is just single-perspective opinion, regardless of it's ability to 'scoop' a traditional news network because of proximity.
